These days, you have the internet and all of its information at your fingertips, so why bother working with a REALTOR to look for properties with you?

REALTORS are experts in the real estate field. That's what they do. Day in, day out REALTORS are in the business of studying the local market, finding out who is lending mortgages, and a plethora of other industry specific knowledge. Most people go to a doctor when they need something major, like surgery. They usually don't cut themselves open and hope for the best. It's the same concept with working with a REALTOR. 

From the South Carolina Association of REALTORS, the price for sellers who use an agent is 16% higher than for those who don't. Additionally, REALTOR contacts through previous clients, referrals, friends and family result in 82% of all home sales in the US.
